Idea to reality

The idea of Cooperationforum first came to life during my years studying social care and leadership at the University of Gothenburg. The idea developed over the years, and time was the only thing I didn't have back then. Now the project is up and running! Cooperation has always been a big questions for me. The process of sharing knowledge and experiences, must, in my opinion be regarded as one of the most valuable things in life. The demands in the professional arena is high. It's in need of good communication and cooperation, and the process of growing as an individual is never ending. For that reason, we must get new input from a variious sources to develop and this is what Cooperationforum fits the picture. Picture a chain with links that together maintan it's power from one, to another. My idea was to put the care for elderly people in a global perspective with focus on it's leaders. Each leader would give his/hers acceptance in becoming a link in this chain of knowledge. With this acceptance the network would grow bigger and become more powerful for it's members. The process of international cooperation between leaders in this field must grow in order to build and maintain the best possible care for elderly citizens worldwide.

The year is 2005. We stand in front of a big assignment in the field of eldercare. We will going to need each others support in questions that we face along the way. Through cooperation and exchange of knowledge we can cultivate each others experiences, and give support to each others differences. Dialog inside and over national borders can help increase the possibilities for development. One of the most important thing is to have a good network of contacts that know the function the hold in it. This is the basic thing about Cooperationforum. Active participation in building and maintaining the network are the members responsibility. This is the key for the future.

During this spring, Cooperationforum has been tuned and modified in order to work for international members as well as national. Language-support for english and swedish is implemented and due to natural reasons, english is the default language. Cooperationforum is free of charge. The only thing that's important for using this forum, is that you fully accept your position as a link in the chain of knowledge. Your agreement to this makes this forum more powerful than any other forum. If you're not interested in try to answering other members questions, this might not be the right forum of choice for you.

If you want to become a member it's also important that you fill out the registration page with your real name. Lastname Firstname, and valid E-mail adress, Country, City, State and/or area you work in, name of the place of work.

Another important aspect of Cooperationforum is that it's the first of it's kind in Sweden. In an international perspective there are big needs of cooperation and exchange of knowledge in the eldercare sector. But above all, the main focus in the process of Cooperationforum, is to free the power of knowledge between us leaders, let cooperation of knowledge widen our horizons, and support each other in our common goal - To maintain, and build the care for elderly citizens of the future!
